MIRA's 2009 Annual Golf Outing
The Zack Tallman Memorial - MIRA golf
outing went off without a hitch. The weather was absolutely perfect - mid
70's, sunny all day and best of all NO RAIN!! With a crowd of about 80 people
out there to enjoy the day - what more could we ask for?
The food served up by the Metamora Golf
& Country Club was absolutely delicious - abundant, and convinced us that this
Club is the place to be when holding an outing!
The staff was great to work with, pro
Andy Baldwin & Events manager, Brooke Morris, anticipative our every need
before we even knew we needed anything, and the Chef, Jeff, was a master on
the grill. We are still talking about those ribs!!
Altogether, about $3,000 was raised and
people went home tired but happy. Anytime we can accomplish that...we've got
a winner!
Men's team finishing in first place was
Rick Powers, Brian Johnson, Brett Ford & Josh Weisner. With lots of great
silent auction items, we can't help but thank those who donated all the
goodies! And a special shoutout goes to our wonderful group of volunteers who
help make this outing a success. They are the backbone of our events and we
love them wholeheartedly!!
Our deepest appreciation goes to the staff and management of The Metamora Golf & Country Club, for seeing to the needs of our guests. They were great! Our volunteers, as usual, were great and we couldn't put this outing on without their support. Their commitment to this project is unbelievable and deeply appreciated.
